Facilitator's Guide, Positive Behavioral Support [PDF]
This guide is made available through the Bureau of Instructional Support and Community Service, Florida Department of Education, and was developed by the staff of the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Project at the University of South Florida.  This guide is designed to build capacity of school districts in positive assessment based approaches to support students with significant behavioral challenges.

PBS Practices
PBS Practices are brief fact sheets that describe effective practices in Positive Behavior Support.  Each Practice includes a rationale, overview, examples, issues and needs, and frequently-asked questions on a designated topic.  PBS Practices are currently available as pdf files.

Research Briefs
Research Briefs are user-friendly summaries of key research articles in Positive Behavior Support.  They have been designed to facilitate practitioners' familiarity with and use of current research.  Research Briefs are currently available as pdf files.

Stories from the Field
Stories from the Field are brief illustrations of real life experiences with positive behavior support.  Each story includes a background, a description of the focus person and context (who, when, where, why), the obstacles/barriers and enablers/resources encountered, assessment and interventions/support strategies developed, outcomes and plans for ongoing/future support, and a summary with lessons learned.  The Behavior Support Plan developed for the focus person accompanies each story.  Stories from the Field are currently available as HTML documents.

Behavior Support Plans
A pool of different Behavior Support Plans has been compiled to demonstrate the variety in plans and provide consumers with a better understanding of how Support Plans may be developed.  These sample Plans may be used to guide and inform the development of Behavior Support Plans, but should not be replicated or copied.
